Motorola may be planning to launch the Edge 40 Pro smartphone soon. The successor of the Edge 30 Pro will likely come to different international markets, including India, according to a new report. A report by Appuals shows the leaked renders of what looks like the Motorola Edge 40 Pro. The phone’s design is very similar to that of the Moto X40 5G, which was launched in China last year as the company’s latest flagship. Going by the company’s tradition of launching its X-series phones as Edge devices, the X40 5G will likely arrive as the Edge 40 Pro in India and other markets. The Motorola Edge 40 Pro may come in Black and Blue colours, as well as a curved display. Its specifications may include a 6.67-inch FullHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 165Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, triple cameras on the back including a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultrawide angle sensor, and a 12-megapixel portrait sensor with support for 2X optical zoom. Powering the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will be an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is Qualcomm’s latest and greatest processor. There will be up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage on the phone with no support for a microSD card. It may come with a 4600mAh battery with 125W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. You can also expect the phone to come with stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port for charging and media transfer. The Edge 40 Pro may come with Android 13-based MyUX 13, alongside future software upgrades.
Motorola may launch the Edge 40 Pro at around EUR 850, which is roughly Rs 75,300.
