OnePlus may be preparing to shake up its lineup with a brand-new range of phones that put performance and battery life front and center. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the company is currently testing devices with enormous 8,000mAh+ and 9,000mAh+ batteries – far bigger than what we usually see on smartphones today.
The company is reportedly working on a OnePlus Turbo series, a mid-range lineup designed to deliver flagship-like speed, better tuning, and long-lasting endurance – the kind of features that appeal most to gamers and heavy users.
Leaks suggest the Turbo phones could be priced around 2,000 Yuan (roughly Rs 23,000 / $280), making them far more accessible than the brand’s premium models. If accurate, this would put the new phones in direct competition with Xiaomi’s Redmi Turbo series, which has already gained popularity in the affordable performance category. A battery this large could easily help OnePlus stand out in the crowded mid-range market.
At the same time, OnePlus isn’t slowing down on the flagship front. The OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6 are expected to launch in China this October. The OnePlus 15, notably, will be the first flagship to ship without Hasselblad branding. Instead, it’s set to feature the company’s own DetailMax Engine for camera processing. Leaks also hint at a redesigned frame, stronger hardware, and a more aggressive performance profile – putting it in direct competition with phones like the iQOO 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro.
If the leaks turn out to be accurate, the OnePlus Turbo series could debut by late 2025, giving fans a new option that mixes powerful performance with extra-large batteries at a price that doesn’t break the bank. And with whispers of a 9,000mAh battery, the upcoming Turbo phone is already sparking plenty of excitement.
