After weeks of guessing, the next iQOO flagship will officially be called the iQOO 15. The tech giant has cleared up the confusion through a new teaser poster at the ChinaJoy 2025 event, GizmoChina confirmed. So, what happened to the iQOO 14? Like many Chinese tech companies, iQOO has chosen to skip the number “4” due to cultural beliefs linking it with bad luck. This isn’t the first time iQOO has done this, as they earlier jumped from iQOO 3 to iQOO 5 for the same reason. It must be noted that the iQOO 15 wasn’t physically revealed at ChinaJoy; however, iQOO has started an “experience officer” campaign, which invited fans to sign up and test the phone once it’s launched.  iQOO 15 Series: What To Expect

According to leaks, the iQOO 15 series is expected to be available in two versions — the iQOO 15 and iQOO 15 Ultra. Both are expected to offer specs like a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO OLED display, the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, and a triple 50MP rear camera setup with a 3x periscope lens. The Ultra variant could include gaming-friendly features like shoulder triggers, a built-in cooling fan, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Moreover, it is expected to pack a battery of over 7,000mAh along with a wireless charging option.

iQOO 15 Launch Timeline

While the official launch date is still unknown, a leak by tipster Debayan Roy (@Gadgetsdata) has suggested that the iQOO 15 may launch in China first, either in September or October. However, just like the previous iQOO launches, the iQOO 15 may hit the Indian markets in December 2025. With early promotions already underway, we might see an official reveal sooner than expected. For now, you will have to wait a little longer, but if the leaked specs hold true.
