The iPhone SE 4 is generating plenty of buzz, with rumors pointing to several upgrades that could push it beyond its budget-friendly reputation. While the SE series has always appealed to fans of compact, no-frills iPhones, the next iteration may deliver more premium features typically reserved for Apple’s flagship models.
One of the most talked-about rumors is the shift to an OLED display. If true, this would mark a huge leap from the LCD screens of previous SE models, bringing richer colors, deeper blacks, and better contrast. OLED technology also tends to be more energy efficient, which could mean a longer-lasting battery for the SE 4—a win for users looking for both performance and endurance.
Another major expectation is the incorporation of Apple’s advanced AI features, leveraging the neural engine seen in their top-tier devices. This could boost the SE 4’s camera capabilities, with smarter computational photography, better facial recognition, and even improved Siri performance. In essence, the SE 4 could pack some serious processing power under the hood, bringing it closer to Apple’s high-end models in functionality.
In terms of size, the iPhone SE 4 is rumored to come with a larger display, possibly 6.1 inches, making it much closer in design to the iPhone 14. This could mean a shift in the traditional SE form factor, giving users more screen real estate without sacrificing portability.
Additional rumors suggest Apple’s first homegrown 5G modem, codenamed Centauri. As per rumors, the chip might come with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. If that happens then it would be the first iPhone modem that isn’t made by Qualcomm.
