The Cupertino-based tech giant will host the iPhone 17 launch event on September 9, the company confirmed on Tuesday. The ‘Awe Dropping’ Apple event will reveal the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max alongside the new iteration of the Apple Watch. iPhone 17 Design

According to leaks, the iPhone 17 will retain the design of the iPhone 16. Apple redesigned the standard iPhone after three generations, so it is expected that the company will reuse the design for iPhone 17 as well. This means that the upcoming handset will sport a pill-shaped dual camera setup on the rear and house a Camera Control button on the right edge, while the Action Button will sit on the left.

The iPhone 17 is expected to borrow the rear camera setup from the iPhone 16, featuring a 48MP main sensor and a 12MP ultra wide shooter. The selfie camera, however, is said to be bumped to 24MP.

iPhone 17 Specifications (Expected)

iPhone 17 is expected to sport a bigger 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with 120Hz ProMotion technology, matching the iPhone 16 Pro. The panel is rumoured to offer 30% more brightness compared to the iPhone 16 series. Internally, the iPhone 17 could be powered by Apple’s A19 chip paired with up to 512GB of storage.

Industry insiders suggest that the iPhone 17 will carry the same price tag as the iPhone 16 from yesteryear, which debuted in India at a starting price of Rs 79,900.
