Xiaomi says that its new HyperOS skin is much faster and efficient than the old MIUI skin and that it is designed to bring coherence to the IoT landscape. HyperOS supports over 200 processor platforms and over 20 standard file systems. It is compatible with device RAM sizes ranging between 64KB to 24GB. It’s also light and occupies only 8.75GB of storage on a device.
Furthermore, the company says that HyperOS allows for a more stable frame rate and lower power consumption compared to stock Android and other heavily customized operating systems. It also supports traditional machine learning models and LLMs better.
