Apple iPhone 16 series prices tipped ahead of official launch

Apple It’s Glowtime Launch Event 2024: Apple is setting up the stage for the launch of the iPhone 16 series in the GlowTime event scheduled to be held on September 9 at 10:30 PM IST. The leaks and rumors regarding the series are increasing day by day. And the latest has revealed the pricing of the iPhone 16 series. In a tweet shared by Apple Hub, the prices of all the devices from the iPhone 16 series have been revealed.

If we look at the leaks, the iPhone 16 will be available for $799, which will convert to roughly Rs 67,000. Apart from that, the iPhone 16 Plus will reach the market at a price of $899, which will convert to around Rs 75,500. The iPhone 16 Pro will be available for $1,099, around Rs 92,000 in India. The high-end variant from the series, iPhone 16 Pro Max, will be available for $1,199, roughly Rs 1,00,700.

Apple iPhone 16 series details

The above-mentioned pricing is primarily for the US market. In India, users can expect a bump in the pricing. iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will not undergo a lot of changes thus their price might be similar to that of the iPhone 15 base models. On the other hand, Apple is all set to offer premium features like Apple Intelligence in the iPhone 16 Pro lineup which is a great hint about the inflated pricing.

Apart from that, the pro lineup from the series will also get a modified processor, display size, camera system, and AI features. Another report published by Economic Daily suggested that Apple is also planning to integrate molded glass lenses in the Pro variant to deliver better optical zoom capability.

This could be another reason behind the high pricing of the Pro variants. As of now, Apple has not announced anything related to the pricing of the iPhone 16 series. However, users can expect it to be slightly higher than the iPhone 15 series, especially in the case of Pro models.
