There have been several instances where you’d have to pay bills when outing with friends — whether it be at a restaurant, at a cafe, or when booking movie tickets. At such times, rather than calculating the total and dividing it among your friends, it’s way better to use online solutions like the ‘Split bill’ in Google Pay. Interestingly, not just Google Pay, but Phone and Paytm also have a similar feature helping you get the split amount just in time without your friends forgetting. Today in this article, let’s see how you can use the split bill feature and divide restaurant bills, cafe bills, and movie ticket prices among your friends. Step 1: Open Google Pay on your phone. Make sure the app is updated to the latest version. Also Read: Paytm Postpaid On UPI Launched: Here’s How To Activate The New Pay Later Option
Step 2: Tap on the Search bar at the top.
Step 3: Create a group.
Step 4: Add friends with whom you want to split the bill.
Step 5: Name the group and tap on Create.
Step 6: Tap on Split an expense, enter the amount, and tap on Next.
Step 7: Lastly, tap on Send request.
Step 1: Open PhonePe on your phone.
Step 2: Tap on Split bills.
Step 3: Enter the amount and continue.
Step 4: Select the contacts with whom you want to split the bill.
Step 5: Lastly, tap on Send request.
Note that the app keeps on updating, so if you do not find the Split bill option, simply search for it.
Step 1: Open Paytm on your phone.
Step 2: Swipe from left to right on the screen to open the conversation tab.
Step 3: Tap on Split bill.
Step 4: Enter the amount, enter the reason, and select the contacts with whom you want to split the bill.
Step 5: Tap on Create group in the top right corner.
Similar to PhonePe, Paytm also keeps updating every now and then so you may or may not find the feature at the same place the next time you visit the app. That said, your best option to find the Split bill option is by directly searching manually.
