Would you believe if I tell you that you can find out Wheelchair Accessible places on Google Maps for your grandparents? Google is known for creating and building platforms and features that are user-friendly and can be accessible to everyone. In this regard, one of the most essential features that I recently found while navigating Google Maps is that I can pinpoint places that are wheelchair friendly.

It used to be an extremely frustrating experience for me many times while navigating on a Wheelchair for quite some time. It’s an experience that all wheelchair users can relate to. But don’t worry because today I will tell you how you can use this essential feature for yourself and your loved ones. This feature represents a big milestone in Google’s continued commitment to help and build for everyone.

Lets check out how you can use wheelchair accessible feature on Google Maps:

For iPhone users:

STEP1: First, open the Google Maps App on your iPhone or iPad

STEP2: Now tap your profile picture or initials at the top right corner of your screen.

STEP3: Click on the Settings options.

STEP4: Scroll down go to the Accessibility option and open it.

STEP5: Switch on the Accessibility Places option.

STEP6: Once the accessibility places option is turned on, a wheelchair icon will appear on the search options and will indicate an accessible entrance.

STEP7: Additionally, you will also be able to see if a place has accessible seating, parking, or elevator.

STEP8: Google Maps will show if the place has no accessible entrance.

For Android users:

STEP1: Open the Google Maps app on your Android phone or tablet.

STEP2: Now tap on your profile picture or initials.

STEP3: Go to Settings.

STEP4: Tab on Accessibility Settings.
