How to disable replies for Instagram Stories

Posting stories daily and getting reactions to them can get quite addictive. However, it can be toxic if you are receiving hatred in the form of replies to your stories. In such cases, it’s better to turn off replies for Instagram stories.

How to turn off replies for Instagram Stories
Make sure that the Instagram app is updated to the latest version on your smartphone. If not, head to Google’s PlayStore on your Android phone or Apple’s App store for iPhone and update the app. Once you update the app, follow the steps below. Step 1: Open Instagram on your Android and iOS smartphone.
Step 2: Tap on your profile at the bottom right corner.
Step 3: Tap on the Hamburger icon in the top right corner.
Step 4: Open Settings, which is the first tab.
Step 5: Tap on the Privacy option.
Step 6: Look for ‘Story’ and tap on it.
Step 7: Scroll a bit and you should see the Replying section. There should be three options under ‘Allow message replies’ that are — Everyone, People you follow, and Off. Tap on Off to disable replies on your stories. If want you can select People you follow, which will then allow people you follow to reply to your stories. This is better than allowing replies from everyone since that could generate a lot of spam on your DM.
