Umang app is one of the most useful tools by the Indian government that gives citizens access to all the schemes and services offered by the Indian government. Users can file complaints, check their class X and class XII board results, book Delhi Metro rail ticket or Indian Railways ticket using the Umang app. Apart from these, citizens can also check their PF account or EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) account balance using the Umang app. Also Read: iQOO 15 India Launch Confirmed For November: Specs, Features, And Everything We Know

Step 1: Install the Umang app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store on your smartphone. Also Read: How To Block Internet Access For Certain Android Apps: Simple Trick Here
Step 2: Next, open the Umang app on your smartphone and then choose your preferred language. At the end of the screen read the terms and conditions of using the app and tap the agree button to continue the setup process.
Step 3: In the screen that appears next, type your mobile number and get it verified.
Step 4: Once you have registered your phone number, tap on the ‘All Services’ option at the bottom of the screen.
Step 5: Find and select ‘EPFO’ from the list of options provided.
Step 6: Now tap the ‘View Passbook’ button to check your EPF or PF account balance.
Step 7: On the screen that you see next, enter your UAN number and tap the ‘Get OTP’ option.
Step 8: Now enter the OTP that you received on your registered mobile number and then tap the ‘Submit’ button.
Once you do this, the Umang app will display your EPF passbook along with your EPF or PF account balance on the screen.
That said, Umang app is not the only way to check the PF account balance. Users can also use SMS and missed call for the same. Here is a step-by-step guide for the same:
Using a Missed Call
Give a missed call on the EPF balance check number: 9966044425.
Using SMS
Message – ‘EPFOHO [your UAN]’ to 7738299899. Once you do that, you will get a message stating your PF account balance.
