How to block spam call and text on Jio SIM? Step-by-Step guide

Spam calls and messages are a pain and no one can deny that. And the way it is rising in India is more than alarming. The most disturbing part about the same is that now scammers are also using these pre-recorded calls to scam and dupe people.

Now, if you are a Jio network user then there’s a piece of good news for you as the telecom is taking a step ahead to tackle these kind of calls and messages. With the help of the MyJio application, users can block spam calls and messages entirely without altering the flow of important calls and texts OTP, deliveries, and more.

How to block spam call and text on Jio SIM?

• Open the MyJio app on your smartphone.
• Now tap on the Search bar and type DND and click on the first option saying Do Not Disturb.
• You will be taken to the settings page of DND. Here, you will get four options – fully blocked (all promotional and service calls except OTPs and transaction confirmation), promotional communication blocked (you will receive services and transactional texts and calls), and Custom preferences (you can select which type of calls or texts you want to block).
• After selecting the category you want, tap on the save button and DND services will be activated on your phone successfully.

Note: It is advised to the user to go for the fully blocked option in Jio DND services.

Apart from that if you wish to not receive a call from a certain industry callers like banking, insurance, Real Estate, Education, consumer goods, tourism and leisure, and more then you can go for the custom one. Here you will also have the liberty to select the communication mode, days, and even specific time frame that you want to block on your device.
