Tekken 8 has always been at the top of the list when it comes to the best fighting games available in the market. And now, with the latest Tekken 1.08 update, the franchise is bringing back Heihachi Mishima back from the dead. For those who are unaware, Heihachi Mishima is the grandfather of protagonist Jin Kazama and plays the antagonist in the game.
In the last game, Tekken 7, he was thrown into a Lava pit by his son Kazuya Mishima after which the franchise itself showed him as a closed chapter. But now, he is making a comeback and for the first time ever, a Tekken game is getting story mode addition. The Tekken 8 Heihachi update update will be rolled out on either September 30 or October 1, 2024, based on different regions.
The Tekken 8 Heihachi update is bringing a new battle stage Genmaji Temple that will have both day and night settings. Furthermore, the evening setup of the stage will transition into night amidst rounds of bouts. The update is also getting the Tekken Dojo addition where two players will be able to practice online in the Fight Lounge.
The most exciting part about the update is that it is also bringing a free Story DLC named Unforgotten Echoes where we will get to see how the ‘Resurrected King of the Iron Fist’ survived the whole Lava episode. The story will also include Eddy and Lidia and it will run parallel to the main Tekken 8 story timeline.
And now you will have the ability to see match Replay in the post-match screen for both quick and ranked matches. Apart from that, the possibility of new DLC character additions to the game is never going to die. Previously, we saw Negan from the Walking Dead series making his way to Tekken 7. This time we can expect a couple of popular characters from other universes to make their way to the King of the Iron Fist tournament.
