GTA VI release date is possibly leaked online; Here are the details

Rumors and leaks related to one of the most hyped games, GTA VI, of the decade are increasing with each passing day. While Rockstar has already announced that the game will make a debut in Fall 2025, there is no official information regarding the exact launch date. Well, the latest rumors have possibly unveiled the launch date of the game.

According to a Reddit post by a user named geboss11, the much-awaited Rockstar Prodigy will be released on October 27, 2025. The information was contained in a screenshot, shared by the user, an IMDB listing of GTA 6. As of now, we cannot say with complete surety that the official release date will be the same as the leak.

So, users are suggested to take the information with a truckload of salt. That being said, there could be some truth to the leak keeping the release pattern of GTA games in mind. For example, titles like GTA II, GTA: Vice City, GTA 5: Online, and GTA Liberty City Stories, all made a debut in or around October.

GTA VI release date, story, and more: Expectations

Currently, we only have a single rumor claiming anything about the GTA VI release date. Apart from that, there is no official confirmation from Rockstar regarding the same. However, multiple details related to the game have already been revealed with the first teaser and a plethora of leaks. GTA 6 trailer has also confirmed that we will get to see a comeback of the franchise’s most loved location – Vice City. GTA VI will be a step ahead of all its predecessors as in the trailer itself we can see things like dirt biker gangs, alligators in pools, social media menaces, and more.

As for the lead characters, the game will revolve around two characters – Jason and Lucia out of which the latter is the first female playable character in the GTA universe. Both of them will have a dynamic relationship that will be affected by the choices the players make in the game. The duo has been inspired by real-world notorious criminals Bonnie and Clyde.

The game will be released only for the current generation consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (tough luck for PS4 and Xbox One owners). Until now, there is no information related to the PC version of the game launching at the same time or not. For your information, GTA V took a whole year to launch for PC from the date it was launched for the consoles.
