Rumours about GTA 6 have been taking the internet by storm. It’s been a while since the first teaser dropped back in December 2023, and fans have been eagerly waiting for a new trailer ever since. The teaser confirmed a return to Vice City and introduced two new protagonists, Lucia and Jason.

Now, with Take-Two Interactive’s next earnings announcement set for May 15, 2025, the rumours have reignited. It’s speculated that we might hear some announcement regarding GTA 6. For those unaware, Take-Two is the parent company of Rockstar Games.

Development in Full Swing?

There are many more clues that things are ramping up and the game might be in its final stages. Rockstar’s job listings have been pointing toward late-stage developer activity like localisation, testing, and final polish. Leakers like Jason Schreier and Tom Henderson have both said that Rockstar is still aiming for a 2025 release, but they’ve also said that internal delays are always a possibility with a massive project like GTA 6.

According to fresh leaks, GTA 6 might feature the biggest map in Rockstar’s history, complete with evolving cities, multiple playable timelines, and dynamic in-game events that change based on your choices. 

When is the Trailer 2 dropping?

So far, we’ve only gotten one teaser, and that dropped to celebrate Rockstar’s 25th anniversary. But it’s been almost 500 days since then, and we haven’t seen any new updates. Most speculation points to Trailer 2 dropping either during Summer Game Fest 2025, The Game Awards in December, or possibly at a Rockstar-hosted event sometime in Q3.

This upcoming trailer is expected to showcase actual gameplay, give a proper look at the two new protagonists, and finally reveal the official release date.

Expected Platforms and Pricing

GTA 6 is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S with a PC version that might drop later in the year. While nothing has been confirmed yet, analyzing Rockstar’s past release patterns suggests we might see GTA 6 drop in September 2025.

GTA 6 is expected to be priced higher than previous games in the series because of the expected upgrade in graphics and visuals. In India, the standard edition could be priced around Rs 5,999, with special editions reaching Rs 7,299.
