Realme P1 Pro 5G and Honor X9b have locked horns in the mid-range.

Story Highlights

  • The Realme P1 Pro 5G and Honor X9b have the same design.
  • The Honor X9b has a more durable body than the Realme P1 Pro.
  • The Realme P1 Pro comes with faster battery charging.

The Realme P1 series debuted in India earlier this month, adding to the competition in the mid-range segment. It includes two phones: a Realme P1 5G, a budget phone, and a Realme P1 Pro 5G, a mid-range phone. The latter has better specifications and will appeal to customers looking for a good balance between design and hardware in their next phone.

The new Realme P1 Pro 5G starts at Rs 21,999, but another recently launched phone gives it good competition for a few more rupees. The Honor X9b, which collected rave reviews for its durable and nearly shatterproof body, is a good option for customers, but it costs Rs 24,999. If you are planning to buy a phone for about Rs 25,000 and are confused between these two, here is a quick comparison between their specifications to help you decide better.

Realme P1 Pro 5G vs Honor X9b

Display: With a negligibly bigger screen, the Honor X9b is a better option as its screen resolution is higher than that of the Realme P1 Pro’s display. Both phones use AMOLED panels with up to 120Hz display, so no matter what you choose, animations and scrolling will look smooth.

Processor: There is a tie here. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor powers Realme P1 Pro and Honor X9b, but the differentiator is the RAM support. The Honor X9b has up to 12GB of RAM as compared with a maximum of 8GB on the Realme P1 Pro 5G. The internal storage on both phones maxes out at 256GB without support for a microSD card. Customers looking for the latest Android features can choose the Realme P1 Pro 5G as it runs Android 14, while the Honor X9b is based on Android 13.

Cameras: Going by the numbers, the Honor X9b comes across as a better option, owing to its 108MP main camera. The Realme P1 Pro 5G has a 50MP camera on the back. The Honor X9b has a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera, as well. On the other hand, the Realme P1 Pro has only an 8MP secondary camera on its back. For selfies, both phones offer a 16MP sensor inside a punch-hole on the display.

Battery: The Honor X9b is a clear winner here with a 5800mAh battery, but the Realme P1 Pro has a faster 45W charging. The Realme P1 Pro has a 5000mAh battery while the Honor X9b has 35W charging support on its battery.

Customers should choose:

— the Honor X9b if they want a long-lasting phone with a solid body that does not easily break, and maybe better cameras.

— the Realme P1 Pro if they prioritise fast charging on their phone and fast performance for less.
