Redmi unveiled the Redmi A5 just yesterday, and it’s already set to go on sale today. Starting at 12 PM on April 16th, the first sale will kick off with exciting bank offers and discounts. The device will be available exclusively on Flipkart.

The Redmi A5 first sale starts today on Flipkart at 12 PM. It will be available in a 2 variant with 3GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage priced at Rs 6,499 and Rs 7,499 respectively. The phone comes in three colour options: Jaisalmer Gold, Pondicherry Blue and Just Black.  EMI options start from ₹229/month, and there’s also a cashback offer available for Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card users.

The Redmi A5 is a feature-packed budget smartphone powered by the UNISOC T7250 processor. It boasts a large 6.88-inch display with a 1640×720 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, making scrolling more fluid. The display also features DC dimming and TÜV Rheinland certification. 

On the design front, the device sports a dual rear camera setup with a 32MP main sensor and an AI lens for enhanced photography. On the front, it includes an 8MP selfie camera, with support for 1080p video recording at 30fps on both sides.

It also comes with an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance that adds durability.
