ChatGPT as financial expert

ChatGPT can become your friend, guide, and sometimes financial expert. Yes, ChatGPT can even help you with financial decisions. Atleast that’s what Jennifer Allan, a realtor and content creator from Delaware proved. She found herself buried in credit card debt of $23,000, to be exact, NewsWeek reported.

She wasn’t spending on luxury or big purchases. Like many people, she just never really learned how to manage money. Things got worse after the birth of her daughter. Childcare costs, medical bills, and recovery expenses added up quickly. Feeling emotionally drained, she relied on credit cards to get by. Jennifer had seen people do 30-day challenges online and decided to try something similar—but with a twist. That’s when ChatGPT comes to the rescue.

ChatGPT as a Daily Money Coach

She asked ChatGPT to help her save money and earn more over 30 days. Every day, the AI gave her a simple task. Some were small, like cancelling unused subscriptions or selling things she didn’t need. Others were a bit surprising, like digging through couch cushions or checking old apps for forgotten money.

By the end of the challenge, Jennifer had paid off over $12,000 of her debt. One major win came when ChatGPT told her to check all her financial apps—she ended up finding over $10,000 in places she’d completely forgotten, like an old brokerage account and digital wallets. She also saved around $600 just by planning meals from what she already had at home instead of buying groceries like usual.

Jennifer says the biggest shift wasn’t just financial—it was mental. “It wasn’t some big financial trick,” she explained. “It was just facing it every day,” the report added. The daily check-ins gave her structure, and the support from others made her feel less alone.

Jennifer now plans to start another 30-day round to clear the rest of her debt. Her story has inspired many people, especially single moms, to take control of their finances. Her advice? Don’t wait until you feel ready. Just start. Use tools that work for you and find a way to make the process feel manageable—even a little fun.
