This Google AI App, Doppl, Lets You Virtually Try On Clothes Using Your Own Photos

How Google’s Doppl App Works?

Unlike traditional shopping apps, Doppl allows you to upload a full-length photo of yourself and then superimposes different outfits onto your image using artificial intelligence. This way, you can see how various styles and clothing items might look on you before making a purchase or even deciding to buy.

Originally, this feature was part of Google’s AI tools in Search and Shopping, but Doppl now offers a standalone experience designed for anyone who loves experimenting with their style.

The app works by using an AI model trained specifically to understand how clothes fit and move on different body types. Once you upload a photo of yourself and a picture of an outfit you want to try, Doppl processes the images and creates a realistic visualization of you wearing that outfit.

What’s great about Doppl is that you’re not limited to clothing from online stores. If you find a cool outfit on social media, in a shop, or on a friend, you can simply upload its photo and see how it might look on you. The app also brings static images to life by turning them into short videos.

Who Can Use It? Doppl App Availability

Currently, Doppl is available only in the U.S. on both iOS and Android devices. Google hasn’t shared any details about expanding the app to other countries yet, but considering its potential, it might come to more regions soon.
