Google has introduced a new feature into its AI chatbot Gemini, allowing it to generate personalised illustrated storybooks in over 45 languages with read-aloud narration. Designed for young children, the Storybook feature allows users to create illustrations in their preferred artwork style. Users can even instruct the AI chatbot to use specific plot points or names of characters. Also Read: Gemini Nano Banana Lets You Instantly Change Hairstyles In Your Photos: Here's How
In a blog post, Google announced that the feature is rolling out to users of all Gemini plans, including the free tier. The Storybook creation feature can be accessed directly from the chatbot interface by starting a prompt – “Create a storybook…” followed by the topic of your story. You can also ask the Gemini to give a specific name to the character. You can choose a setting for the story or an art style. As per the blog post, Storybook supports various artwork styles like pixel art, claymation, comics, crochet, or colouring books in more than 45 languages. Gemini can create up to 10 pages for each story, with related artwork on the left side and text on the right side. Also Read: 8 Gemini Nano Banana AI Image Ideas To Try Now: Check ALL Prompts Here
Storybook also supports audio narration, where Gemini will read out the story for users. The voice, however, is robotics rather than being a natural-sounding one that we hear in Gemini Live.
The Storybook in Gemini allows you to upload photos and documents to give your stories a personal touch with art of themselves in place of randomised characters. As per Google, the feature not only reads bedtime stories to children, but it can also be used to teach young students complex topics.
The new Storybook feature is now available to all Gemini users, including those on the free tier. It can be accessed through the Gemini website or through mobile apps on all platforms.
