Google is making its Gemini AI app more productive with a new feature called Scheduled Actions. Tech giant is rolling out this feature on both iOS and Android, which allows users to set up tasks that Gemini can perform automatically at a specific time or on a recurring schedule. What can you do with Scheduled Actions? The new Scheduled Actions feature makes Gemini a bit more like a digital assistant that remembers and acts when you need it to. You can ask Gemini to give you a daily summary of your unread emails every morning or summarise your calendar each day. If you’d like something to happen regularly, you can set it as a recurring task—daily, weekly, on weekdays or weekends. All you need to do is type your request, along with the preferred date and time, in the chat. Also Read: CES 2026: Google TV Gets New Gemini Features Including Nano Banana And Veo
Once you’ve set up a few tasks, managing them is simple. All you need to do is that in the Gemini app, tap your profile icon, go to Settings, and look for the new Scheduled Actions tab. That’s where you’ll see a list of all your current tasks — you can view, edit, pause, or delete them.
There’s a catch! For now, it’s only available to paying users. That means, if you’re subscribed to Gemini Advanced (via the AI Pro or AI Ultra plans) or using a paid Google Workspace account, you’ll be among the first to try it.
Moreover, Google currently allows users to schedule up to 10 active tasks at a time. If your task is related to your location (like getting weather suggestions), Gemini will remember where it was set to ensure relevant results.
It must be noted that ChatGPT has also added similar features for subscribers — as AI tools shift from being reactive to truly supportive.
