WhatsApp keeps on bringing new updates and features to enhance the overall user experience on its platform. It seems the instant-messaging is once again working on some new features and updates that could improve and increase the usability on the platform. As per the report, the Meta-owned platform might bring a new update of the New Mute feature that could give users more control during calls.

Let’s check out what new features and updates are:

New Mute Button/Option:

As per WABetaInfo, a website responsible for tracking upcoming features and updates on WhatsApp suggested that the tech giant could soon bring a quick-access button to mute the microphone or turn off the camera even before answering the call. The upcoming features and updates are spotted on the WhatsApp Beta for Android app version 2.25.10.16. As per the update, the Mute feature will allow users to turn off their microphone or mute the call even before accepting it, which means this will not let your  receiver be aware of the fact that you muted their calls.

Camera Off Button:

Other than Mute option, WhatsApp is reportedly also working on the Camera Off button that will allow you to turn off the camera button on the video call even before picking it up. To recall, the feature was earlier spotted in an APK teardown. The feature will be useful for people who want to take some time or get ready or be presentable in the video calls before picking it up.

Emoji Reactions for Video Calls:

The instant-messaging app is also working on a feature of Emoji Reaction on video calls. As per report, this feature will allow users to react to an emoji on WhatsApp video call. The feature will allow you to react up to 6 different emojis in the video call, making it fun and interactive.

All the features are right now available to limited beta users and the company might bring it for all the users in some time.
