Meta-owned Instagram keeps on testing and bringing new features that are set to revolutionize the way users interact and engage. Recently, a new report claims that the etch giant is testing a new feature for story highlights. The feature will aim to resurface story highlights that may have been missed or overlooked amidst the constant influx of reels, sponsored posts, or maybe other content. In addition, it will help users to reconnect with their close friends, family, and loved ones with meaningful updates. The feature will prove to be helpful for users who feel like they are drowning in a sea of information. It will provide a welcome respite from the constant incoming of information, reels, or other content and help users stay up-to-date on things they have missed. As pre-reports, the feature will grant access to users to see story highlights from the past week. To recall, the story highlights are only visible for 24 hours on Instagram. If the feature is launched, it will provide a unique ability for users to catch up on missed moments. Also Read: YouTube’s Next Big AI Upgrade: Lip-Syncing For Auto-Dubbed Videos Coming Soon

However, there’s a catch the unseen story highlights will only be visible once you have scrolled through all the current stories on your profile. This means if you are an influencer or follow a large number of accounts, you might not stumble upon these unseen story highlights.
Social media expert Ahmed Ghanem noticed the feature first highlighting how easily we miss some of the best story highlights from our friends, family, and loved ones. Unlike regular stories that vanish after 24 hours, this feature will be designed to surface story highlights that users have intentionally saved to their profiles. However, nothing has been confirmed from the company’s side but we could expect the feature to roll out in the coming months.
