The AI wave is pretty dominant in the consumer tech industry and most of the brands are riding it. Now, Amazon has launched and released an AI shopping assistant named Rufus in the Indian market. As claimed by the tycoon, Rufus has the capability of answering all your shopping-related questions and enhancing user experience. As of now, the feature is available for a few Amazon beta users in India.
In simple terms, it is a generative AI-based shopping assistant that will give you information about a product. It has been trained on Amazon’s product catalog and information available over the web. One thing that you should keep in mind as a customer is that the AI model is being tested as of now and it may make a couple of mistakes too. It is named after the principal engineer and former editor-in-chief’s pet dog.
Note: You can also ask follow up questions and recommended ones to Rufus. And if you don’t see the feature on your app, then no need to worry, it will be rolled out for the masses pretty soon. Speculations are that Rufus AI will also make a debut for the web version once it reaches the stable version of the smartphone application. You can ask Rufus about reviews related to a particular product along with how to use it and all.
