Alongside Nano Banana, Adobe is also adding Flux.1 Kontext Pro from Black Forest Labs. This means Photoshop users will now have multiple AI engines to choose from while working with the app’s popular generative fill tool. Until now, Firefly – Adobe’s in-house model – has been the default option. news Also Read: Google Photos Expands Conversational Editing From Pixel 10 To More Android Phones

How It Works

To use Nano Banana inside Photoshop, users simply select it as the AI engine when applying the generative fill feature. The process remains simple: type in your prompt, generate an image, and then fine-tune it with Photoshop’s editing tools. What sets this integration apart is the ability to not only create fresh AI content but also instantly refine it with Photoshop’s professional-grade corrections. news Also Read: Google Expands AI Plus To 40 More Countries: Features, Pricing, And Availability

As Adobe VP Deepa Subramaniam explains, “What makes this integration into Photoshop especially powerful is how it combines choice in models with Photoshop’s professional-grade tools, giving you the ability to generate content, then immediately refine it.”

Usage Limits

Adobe is offering unlimited access to Nano Banana and Flux.1 Kontext Pro on Photoshop until October 28. After that, access will be credit-based. Standard Creative Cloud, Photography Plan, and Photoshop desktop subscribers will get 100 lifetime credits per model, while Creative Cloud Pro subscribers will receive 500 credits per day.

Currently, Nano Banana on Photoshop is limited to the generative fill feature, though its popularity could push Adobe to expand its role further.

Privacy and Commercial Use

Adobe has clarified that no user content is used to train AI models, regardless of which engine you select. However, there’s some uncertainty around commercial use. The company notes that it’s up to creators to determine whether AI-generated images are suitable for commercial projects, depending on how the partner models were trained and licensed.
