Reliance Jio has stepped into the world of AI wearables with the launch of its new smart eyewear, JioFrames, unveiled at the company’s 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM). Designed to take on Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses, Jio Frames promises to be more than just eyewear. It is pitched as a “hands-free AI-powered companion” tailored for the way people in India live, work, and play. news Also Read: High-Risk Alert Issued For Google Chrome Users: Update Your Browser Now

Introducing the product, Reliance’s Non-Executive Director Akash Ambani described Jio Frames as a wearable AI platform with support for multiple Indian languages. The glasses come with built-in open-ear speakers, so you can slip them on and jump straight into music, podcasts, or even office calls – no extra gadgets needed. news Also Read: Gemini Nano Banana AI Image Editor Rolls Out To Google Search And NotebookLM: Here’s What’s New

Capture, Record, and Share in Style

With JioFrames, snapping HD photos, recording videos, or going live on social media is as simple as looking through your glasses. Everything you capture is safely backed up on the JioAICloud, so you never have to worry about running out of storage. news Also Read: How To Create Unique Rangoli Designs For Diwali Using Gemini Nano Banana AI Tool: Check Prompt

Ambani also highlighted that the AI inside Jio Frames can act as a personal guide. For example, while cooking, it can walk users through recipes step by step, or provide summaries of books while reading.

Backed by JioAICloud

Reliance also announced new capabilities for its Jio AI Cloud, which now supports natural language search in Indian languages. The cloud can smartly organise photos –such as receipts being placed in a bills folder, or Aadhaar scans moved to an ID folder.

Additionally, Reliance introduced JioCreateHub, a tool that lets users quickly turn photos into collages, reels, or promo videos. What makes it even more exciting is how useful it could be in everyday life. A small shopkeeper, for instance, could instantly create a professional-looking product reel, while families could turn simple pictures into fun albums with just a click.

By bringing JioFrames to market, Reliance is clearly betting on a future where AI-powered wearables become part of daily life – setting itself up as a strong rival to Meta’s smart glasses in India’s booming tech scene.
