
Jabra today added another pair of truly wireless earbuds in India. The company today launched the Jabra Elite 5 TWS earbuds in India, which joins the other earbuds, such as Elite 7 Pro, Elite 7 Active, Elite 4 Active and Elite 3 among others, in the company’s Elite series of TWS earbuds. The newly launched Elite 5 earbuds come with a host of new and interesting features such as active noise cancellation, Qualcomm AptX support, and support for Google’s Fast Pair among others.
Jabra said that the new Elite 5 costs Rs 14,999 in India and it will be available in India in two colour variants — Titanium Black and Gold Beige — on Amazon India starting February 10, 2023.
Coming to the features, the Jabra Elite 5 TWS earbuds come with a plastic body and silicon eartips. These earbuds are protected by IP55 dust and water-resistant coating.
It has a speaker bandwidth of 100Hz to 8000Hz in the speak mode and 20Hz to 20000Hz in the music mode. It features support for Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) functionalitu, which is powered by the Qualcomm QCC3050 Bluetooth chipset. Jabra says that the Hybrid ANC feature uses feedback microphones on the inside of the ear, and feedforward microphones on the outside to provide noise cancellation for a wider range of frequencies. The Hybrid ANC feature is coupled with an adjustable HearThrough functionality.
Coming to connectivity, the Jabra Elite 5 earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.2 with a range of up to 10 metres. This pair of earbuds can be paired with up to six devices. Furthermore, these earbuds also come with Google’s Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair technology. Additionally, these earbuds come witn Spotify tap feature and Amazon Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant. Users can customise their sound experience using Jabra’s Jabra Sound+ app.
Lastly, coming to battery, the buds and their case have a lithium-ion battery that can be charged in around 180 minutes. With ANC on, the buds and the charging case offer a run time of around 28 hours, while with the ANC off the, the device provides a run time of around 36 hours. The Jabra Elite 5 features support for Qi-certified wireless charging technology and fast charging technology, which the company says provides up to one hour of usage on just 10 minutes of charging in the case.
