Jio 5G launched in Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh: Check list of cities

Reliance Jio has announced the launch of 5G services in three more states, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. The rollout marks the debut of 5G services in Chhattisgarh since Airtel already has its 5G services in the major cities of Bihar and Jharkhand. Launching the 5G services in Chhattisgarh, chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said the launch of Jio’s True 5G services is an important achievement for our state.

In Bihar, Jio True 5G is now available in Patna and Muzaffarpur, while in Jharkhand, the services are now live in the state capital Ranchi and Jamshedpur. Jio users from Chhattisgarh will be able to access 5G services in Raipur, Durg, and Bhilai. On the other hand, Airtel has its 5G services in four cities of Bihar – Patna, Bodh Gaya, Bhagalpur, and Muzaffarpur. In Jharkhand, Airtel’s 5G network is available in Ranchi and Jamshedpur.

In addition to adding cities from three more states, Reliance Jio also announced the extension of its 5G network in more cities across Karnataka, Odisha, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Starting January 14, Jio True 5G became available in four more cities of Karnataka, namely, Bijapur, Udupi, Kalaburagi, and Bellary, two more cities in Odisha, Rourkela and Brahmapur, Kollam in Kerala, Eluru in Andhra Pradesh, and Amravati in Maharashtra.

Jio said users in these cities will be able to enjoy unlimited internet on the 5G network, which the company claims offers over 1Gbps speeds. Users will be invited to Jio Welcome Offer, under which unlimited data will be provided without additional costs. The Welcome Offer will be available as a part of the MyJio app, but users will be able to request it only if their number is subscribed to the Rs 239 recharge plan.

Commenting on the launch of 5G services in multiple cities, a Jio spokesperson said, “We are happy to announce the launch of Jio True 5G services in 16 new cities across 8 states across the country, as we step up the speed and intensity of True 5G rollout across the nation. We want every Jio user to enjoy the transformational benefits of Jio True 5G technology in 2023.”
