
Bharti Airtel today announced that it is expanding the availability of its 5G network, dubbed as the Airtel 5G Plus, to more cities in the North-Eastern states of the country. Airtel has already launched its 5G Plus network in Guwahati, Shillong, Imphal, Agartala and Itanagar. And today, the telecom giant announced that it is expanding the service to seven more cities, which includes Kohima, Dimapur, Aizawl, Gangtok, Silchar, Dibrugarh and Tinsukia.
With today’s announcement, Airtel 5G Plus is available in a total of 12 cities in the Northeast parts of the country.
“Connectivity to North Eastern states is in line with our commitment to bridge the digital divide and connect communities who need it the most. Starting today, Airtel 5G Plus is available in Kohima, Dimapur, Aizawl, Gangtok, Silchar, Dibrugarh & Tinsukia in addition to Guwahati, Imphal, Shillong, Agartala and Itanagar. With this, we have successfully powered the entire North-East region of India,” Rajnish Verma, CEO Assam and North-Eastern States, Bharti Airtel said on the occasion.
With today’s roll-out, Airtel 5G Plus is now available in 105 cities across the country. Here are all the cities wherein Airtel 5G Plus is available.

It is worth noting that Airtel plans to provide 5G coverage in around 300 cities by the end of March 2023 and pan-India by the end of March 2024.
