Airtel, earlier this week, expanded its 5G Plus service to Chhattisgarh. A day later, the telecom giant announced that it is bringing its 5G service to three more cities in Gujarat. Airtel’s 5G services were already available in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. Now, the company has introduced its 5G services in Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot.
As far as specifics are concerned, in Surat, Airtel’s 5G Plus service is available at Mota Varachha, Katargam, Dabholi, Parvat Patiya, New Dindoli, Bhestan, Vadod Road, Pandesara, and Vesu VIP Road areas. Similarly, in Vadodara, the service is available at Sayaji Baug, Nizampura, Alkapuri, Sevasi, New VIP Road, Waghodia road, Chhani, Bajwa, Gorwa, Raopura, and Manjalpur areas. And in Rajkot, the service is available at Madhapar, Raiya road, Nava Thorala, Bhaktinagar, Mavdi, Kothariya, P&T Colony, and Old Jakatnaka areas.
It is worth noting that Airtel’s 4G subscribers don’t need to change their SIM cards to access the company’s 5G network in the areas where it is available. Also, the company has confirmed that its 5G services will be available at 4G tariff plans until the roll-out is complete. Airtel’s 5G roll out is expected to be complete by March 2024.
With today’s roll out, Airtel 5G Plus is available in over 90 cities across the country.
