After using only gaming laptops for almost half a decade, I got my hands on the recently launched Dell Latitude AI PC. The laptop could be dubbed a powerful machine for work with Copilot integration. And it was my first time using a PC running on the Snapdragon processor and I am close to impressed with the speed and performance delivered by the Dell Latitude 7455 laptop.
In simple terms, the laptop is a perfect companion for people coming from professional backgrounds and the battery backup is something that I will talk about in detail. A basic hint for the same here is that you don’t need to go on a lookout for your charger every now and then which helps in performing tasks with utmost concentration. The display resolution of this laptop can give nightmares to others available in the same price for sure.
In addition, the touchscreen functionality makes the laptop super convenient to use. It carries a no-nonsense design which provides the machine with a clean look. The Dell Latitude 7455 is available in the market for a price of Rs 1,59,990. And you can purchase the same in India through the official website of Dell and Croma Online Store. Without any further ado, I am going to start with a detailed review of the device so that you can make a purchase decision without looking for anything else.

Well, for starters, the Dell Latitude looks like a business laptop, the way it should be. As I mentioned previously, it showcases a no-nonsense design with aluminum chassis. It opens up to an angle of 135 degrees so provide you with a comfortable position. The laptop weighs around one and a half kilograms and the weight can be felt once you are carrying it in your backpack.
However, if you’ve been someone like me and carried gaming laptops along with accessories, Latitude 7455’s weight will look like child’s play. The laptop has thin bezels and whenever you open it on an angle bigger than 90 degrees, the base is lifted by the back. This could be primarily to allow the heat pipe a passage to release the heat from the device.
The speaker grilles can be seen on the left and right sides of the keyboard. It doesn’t have a lot of connectivity ports, only two on the right side and three on the left which we will discuss further. The IR 1080p Web camera of the laptop can be spotted at the top along with a privacy shutter.
The privacy shutter toggle was very convenient to use and it seriously looks like the part of the design instead of a standalone shutter switch. Last but not least, the bottom plate of the laptop has a single ventilation grill, two speaker cutouts, and three rubber feet for stability. One thing to note here is that the heat is pushed via a heat pipe at the back. So avoid blocking its passage while running heavy tasks on the device.
Dell Latitude’s display comes in the list of one of the best things that the laptop carries. It features a 14-inch WQXGA IPS display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Well, what to sere but yes, Dell could have done better in terms of refresh rate as the laptop only has two options – 59.99Hz and 47.99Hz, and they both are super low, to be honest.
The laptop offers a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. But, but, but, the viewing angles for the laptop were way better than any device that I have reviewed or used in a long time. From the left, right, and center, you can clearly see the content on the screen from literally any angle and at a decent distance as well. The experience while streaming Netflix shows on the laptop was more than decent as I was able to see everything clearly.
While I knew that the laptop had a touchscreen, experiencing the same after totally forgetting about it in the setup was nothing less than an Eureka moment. The touch response of the laptop was the thing I loved the most about it. And it makes everything seamless to a great extent. For example, managing tabs and files is something that will never feel like a tedious task. The touch functionality in any laptop coupled with the trackpad eradicates the need of an external mouse until and unless you are an FPS addict.
Coming to the speakers, they are placed aesthetically in Dell Latitude 7455. I had zero expectations in the speaker’s department before testing the laptop. Nonetheless, it gave a spine-chilling audio output. The speakers produce crystal clear and loud audio that helps you enjoy your favorite tracks or watch a movie or something without the need for any Bluetooth audio device. Didn’t even realize that what started as a five-minute test for a speaker turned into an Eminem and NF radio station for a couple of hours.
Here comes the difficult part, at least for me. Considering everything else that has been offered in the laptop, the keyboard and trackpad offered in the device failed to impress. Starting with the keyboard, I expected smoother hitting buttons with a better texture. However, the keyboard is there just for the sake of it. Thanks to the fast speed processing of the laptop there was no lag. Whenever you start typing something, it feels like it will lag but it doesn’t.
I know that’s a strange feeling but it is what it is. Though Dell has tried its best to make the keyboard more interactive by doubling up the power button as the fingerprint sensor and replacing the right control button with the CoPilot button. But, still, the brand could have done better in terms of keyboard.
And yes, the moment you use the trackpad, you will immediately know why the laptop ships with a touchscreen display. The trackpad felt as rough as a cemented wall. I don’t even remember the last laptop with this kind of trackpad texture. Well, I must say the trackpad of the device is super responsive but it creates a sense of discomfort. Thanks to Dell, the discomfort is only until you get used to the texture of the trackpad.
I can say that the laptop passes with flying colors in the performance sections. Whether you are someone who uses heavy software or just a research addict like me with almost 50 tabs open on the laptop every time, Dell Latitude 7455 is not going to disappoint you in any of those cases. The Qualcomm Oryon CPU offered more than I expected. The device also has 16GB RAM that makes it functioning smoother than ever. And with the group of icons that you see at the right side of the taskbar, there is an addition, named Studio Effects, as soon as you click it, you will get to see the webcam of the laptop in action in multiple modes like creative filter, portrait light, portrait blur, etc.
See, once a gamer is always a gamer. And keeping that in mind, I downloaded Multiversus on the Latitude 7455 from Steam. The game was working completely fine and there was no lag as well. The best part here is that it supports my Power A controller just like my gaming laptop. As for the ports, you get to see a couple of 40Gbps Thunderbolt 4 ports on the left side along with the Display Port 2.1 and a Power Delivery capabilities next to the MicroSD card slot.
The Audio jack and a 5Gbps USB Type-A port can be seen on the right side of the laptop. I missed the HDMI port and I am sure that you will too as it becomes a necessity for those who indulge in meetings. The AI features offered in the device are really handy and try to support you in regular day-to-day tasks. For example, the Recall feature stores your everyday activity on your laptop can it can be accessed anytime by typing a prompt to search the work.
With the Cocreator feature, you can create AI-generated images using brushstrokes and a basic prompt. This works wonders when you are creating a presentation. Apart from that, the live captions feature lets translate any live or pre-recorded audio from 44 languages to English. And streaming and gameplay become much better on the system with the Auto Super Resolution AI feature. The laptop also offers multiple performance modes that can be used based on the type of tasks you are performing at a time. For example, at the time of gaming or running heavy software, you can switch to the ultra-performance mode.
The Dell Latitude 7455 laptop ships with a 54Wh battery and a 65W charger. At the time of testing, the battery drain was super slow and I loved it. If you are streaming movies or web shows, then you don’t have to worry about the battery drain for at least 12 to 13 hours.
However, when running multiple Chrome tabs, games, or anything like that, then you can witness a quicker battery drain. Still, I must say that the laptop gets a five out of five in the battery department as the durability is the best you can expect from a laptop of that kind (gaming laptop owners know the pain). As for the charging, like any other expensive laptop, this one by Dell also got fully fueled up pretty quickly.
Dell Latitude 7455 is a machine that is perfect for professional use. The features like AI integration, touchscreen functionality, and multiple performance modes, make it the best choice as a companion for students and professionals. Whether you are creating reports on the same or you are just working on your PowerPoint presentations, the laptop has it all sorted. However, if you are someone who is looking for a laptop that can also run heavy games, then this one is not for you as you can get better options at the same price point.
