Early leaks suggest the iPhone 18 Pro lineup won’t bring a dramatic redesign. Apple appears to be focusing on refinement rather than changing the familiar Pro look.
The most visible change could be a noticeably smaller Dynamic Island. Reports suggest the cutout width may shrink by around 35 percent while staying centred.
Apple may move parts of the Face ID system, like the flood illuminator, under the display, helping reduce the size of the Dynamic Island without removing it completely.
The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to get brighter displays. Supplier struggles hint at a meaningful brightness jump compared to the current iPhone 17 Pro lineup.
Under the hood, the A20 Pro chip built on a 2nm process and 12GB RAM could improve performance and enable more on-device AI features.
Apple is likely sticking to the same screen sizes - 6.3 inches for the iPhone 18 Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max, both with 120Hz ProMotion.
Camera changes appear minimal. The front camera may move to an 18MP sensor, while the rear setup is expected to retain the familiar triple-camera layout. However, what's new this time is the rumoured variable aperture camera system to improve exposure control.
However, the launch of the iPhone 18 series is still months away, hence, we should wait for the official release in September 2026. Till then, take the information with a pinch of salt.
