The iOS 26 developer beta is meant for testing. It’s not the polished version Apple showed off during WWDC. You might run into bugs, crashes, or features that don’t work as expected. It’s best not to install this on your main iPhone unless you're okay with that.

Not all iPhones can run iOS 26. You’ll need an iPhone 11 or newer. That means, the iPhone 11 series and above, iPhone SE 2nd gen or newer supports iOS 26. If you’re using an older model, the update won’t appear.

This is important. If something goes wrong, a backup will save your data and make it easier to go back to iOS 18. You can back up using iCloud (Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup > Back Up Now), or use Finder on a Mac for a more complete, restorable backup.
