“We view AI as huge and we'll continue weaving it in our products on a very thoughtful basis,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said during the company’s second-quarter revenue call.
“AI is more dangerous than, say, mismanaged aircraft design or production maintenance or bad car production, it has the potential of civilization destruction,” Elon Musk said in an interview with Tucker Carlson.
“Entire industries will reorient around it. Businesses will distinguish themselves by how well they use it,” he wrote in one of his blog posts.
“I console myself with the normal excuse: if I hadn’t done it, somebody else would have,” Geoffrey Hinton said in an interview with New York Times.
“It can be very harmful if deployed wrongly and we don't have all the answers there yet – and the technology is moving fast. So does that keep me up at night? Absolutely,” he said in an interview with CBS.
