WhatsApp update: WhatsApp is incredibly useful when it comes to communicating with friends, family and colleagues. It’s easy-to-use interface along with its treasure trove of useful features such as emojis, GIFs, videos, stickers, avatars and more enable users to be more expressive and creative while sharing their views and opinions with other users. But of lately, the company is also trying to become a great personal tool. One of the ways it is trying to do that is by developing a feature that helps users keep a track of important details.
Still confused? WhatsApp is working on a new feature called ‘Add a Note’. This new feature is aimed at helping users add a message to a note.
A screenshot of the feature shared by WABetaInfo gives us a closer look at the interface that the Meta-owned messaging app is using for this feature. In usage, adding a message to a note will be as simple as forwarding a message. The publication says that “instead of manually adding a note right within the chat info screen, users will also be able to add specific messages to their notes.”
Furthermore, when the feature becomes available, WhatsApp users will be able to add a message to note by selecting a particular message in a chat, typing their message to attach to the note, tapping the three dots menu on the top, and tapping the Add to Note button from the drop-down menu.
Step 1: Open WhatsApp on your smartphone.
Step 2: Open the chat where you want to add a message to a note.
Step 3: Long-press to select the message you want to add details to.
Step 3: Type your message in the message bar at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: Tap the three dots menu on the top.
Step 5: Tap the Add to Note option.
According to the details shared by the publication, WhatsApp is developing this feature for its business users. It will enable businesses to organise important information more efficiently, which in turn will improve their workflow. That said, this feature is being developed exclusively for business users and it is unlikely that the commoners will ever get to use it, unless they switch to the business account.
