Samsung One UI 8 Beta Update
Android 16-based One UI 8 software by Samsung has finally been released, giving the Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets a brand new era. He tech giant is also finally rolling out One UI 7 to users. Nevertheless, breaking with its past practices, Samsung launched One UI 8 on July 9, 2025, at the Galaxy Unpacked event a few months ahead of its strict schedule. Not only is this early launch indicative of more vigorous roll-off, but it also signals the enhanced commitment on the part of software support that is indicative of Samsung.
The newly launched Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Z Flip7 FE were the first devices to ship with One UI 8. These smartphones are officially available for buyers. In contrast to One UI 7, which was slated to release in April 2025, this year release comes in the middle of summer, that is, a quarter earlier than it was planned.
Samsung started the beta testing for its One UI 8 with the Galaxy S25 series. The beta program kicked off on May 8 2025 in several countries including Germany, Korea, the UK, and the US, and since then it has been extended to India and Poland too.
The beta builds are available by the Samsung Members app installed on registered owners of the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The company has already rolled out three beta builds, with a fourth on the way.
Samsung has confirmed that One UI 8 will gradually make its way to other eligible devices, starting with the Galaxy S25 series in mid-August 2025. Other models including the Galaxy S24, S23, and previous-gen foldables are expected to receive the update later that month through a phased approach.
