Samsung has globally halted its much-anticipated One UI 7 update, based on Android 15. The tech giant discovered a serious security flaw affecting users’ privacy along with the device’s accessibility. The security flaw is related to the Secure Folder in the device which according to the company is a pretty big security oversight.
Notably, a critical security bug has been found in the Secure Folder which is exposing users’ private photos and videos. The bug is coming to the forefront through auto-generated Stories in the Gallery app that indeed is compromising the confidentiality of the sensitive content. The security bug is affecting Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and maybe Galaxy S25 users worldwide if you have updated your smartphone with the latest One UI 7, then you will automatically encounter yourself with the sooner or later.

As per reports, the Gallery app is generating inside the Secure Folder in your smartphone is generating a story by itself. As soon as it generates a story, the user will receive a notification about the Story outside of the Secure Folder which raises a privacy concern. Not only this, but what’s even more worse is that as soon as the user taps on this notification, it will reveal all its content, even if you are using your smartphone outside the Secure Folder.
While Samsung has yet to issue an official fix, users are advised to disable the auto-create Stories setting within the Secure Folder’s Gallery app to mitigate the vulnerability.
In order to avoid this security flaw, you just have to open the Gallery app inside the Secure Folder and then tap on the Menu button. Now you have to go to the Settings option and turn off the Auto Create Stories. You have to do this manually because the Auto Create feature is turned on by default. So make sure you double-check the feature and turn it off.
