Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Launched: Samsung Reveals Its First Twice-Folding Smartphone With a Massive 10-Inch Display

Samsung has finally introduced its highly anticipated Galaxy ZTri Fold smartphone with a twice-folding design. The tech giant unveiled the device in South Korea. The Samsung Galaxy ZTri Fold smartphone looks like a large tablet-like display, along with having a compact outer screen. Other than this, Samsung has brought this device with top-tier hardware, making it one of Samsung’s most advanced foldable devices yet. The device offers upgraded performance, cameras, and durability, while introducing a multi-hinge design.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Price and Availability

Samsung has not yet announced the official price of the Galaxy Z TriFold. However, the brand has confirmed that it will go on sale in South Korea starting from 12 December. After the domestic launch, the handset is expected to arrive in several global markets, including China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE, and the United States.

The Galaxy ZTri Fold was introduced in a single Crafted Black finish and was showcased at selected stores in South Korea. The exact pricing details are expected to be revealed soon.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Specifications

One of the striking features of Galaxy ZTri Fold is its 10-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display. The display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, offers vivid colors, and is equipped with up to 1600 nits of brightness.

In addition, there’s also a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ cover screen along with 2600 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection. To ensure smooth folding, Samsung has equipped the phone’s redesigned hinge with titanium housing and a dual-rail mechanism.  For dust and water resistance, the device comes with an IP48 rating.

Processor

Under the hood, the Galaxy ZTri Fold is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite built on a 3nm architecture. The chipset is paired with 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. Running in the background is the Android 16-based One UI 8

Camera

For optics, the Galaxy ZTri Fold packs a triple camera system, including a 200MP primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera with up to 30x digital zoom. For clicking selfies, buyers will get two 10MP front cameras, which are one on the cover display and one on the inside.

Battery and Connectivity

To power the phone, Samsung has given a 5,600mAh battery, supported by 45W wired and 15W wireless fast charging. Connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone weighs 309g and folds neatly despite its large screen presence.
