On Wednesday July 9, Samsung is set to kick off its much-awaited Galaxy Unpacked event and the anticipation is building to ever high levels in the tech world. The launch, which will be held in Brooklyn, New York, will draw the spotlights to the next generation of foldable phones and wearables of the company. Having the event tag line as The ultra experience is ready to unfold, there is no doubt that Samsung is ready to unveil something big and bold.
Whether by launching the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 or potentially showing off the Galaxy Watch 8 line, the event will cement how the company approaches hardware this year. Here is all you should know about the event including how to watch it live and what is probably on the cards.
The most anticipated announcement could be the Galaxy Z Fold 7 which is speculated to be introduced into a more sophisticated and slender form. It is expected that Samsung would make this foldable lighter, pocketable, and easier to use as a phone and mini tablet. Initial teasers suggest an even smoother display than before, improved durability and improved hinge underpinning.
However, design is not all. Samsung is also likely to equip this phone with improved internals such as the newest processor, improved camera features and more intelligent multitasking thanks to Galaxy AI. Fold 7 is expected to be an upscale productivity machine and it can perform work and leisure functions.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will come to the limelight, as well. The Flip series has made a name of its clamshell-like design due to its small size. Some of the improvements Samsung can bring this year include an increased cover screen, extended battery life, and minor design tweaks to make the phone easier to use with just one hand.
There are also rumors that a cheaper model, perhaps a Flip FE, will also make an unexpected appearance and allow more people to own a foldable device without spending their life savings.

Though foldables are likely to steal the show, it is also likely that the Galaxy Watch 8 will be launched. The smartwatches at Samsung have made a significant niche in the fitness and health tracking bands section and this year they may advance it even further.
The new versions of the watch may feature new sensors to track health more effectively, a reimagined interface thanks to One UI Watch 8, and, perhaps, a new high-end variant targeting outdoor and sporty consumers. Some are also talking about a longer battery life and a redesigned body-switching, perhaps, to a sleeker, flatter model.
Another possible announcement would be the Galaxy Buds 4, which would come with even better active noise cancellation and sound. It could always expect to see some new accessories (a case, a charger, or even a tablet), but Samsung has not revealed that part just yet.
Provided that the company is ready to surprise viewers, it is also possible that a teaser or a prototype of its alleged XR headset, in partnership with Google and Qualcomm, will be briefly displayed.

Although official prices will be announced at the event, the early industry rumblings are that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will retail a little bit higher than last year in India but around 1,75,999. This same pattern will be followed by the Flip 7 and Watch 8 series, and it can be expected that they will be available in India very soon after release, and probably we will be able to pre-order them right after the event.
Samsung normally has early bird sales which consist of cashback, gifts/free accessories, or upgrade gifts to those who pre-book. Such opening offers can be followed by Indian customers through the Samsung sites or off-line partners.
