Qualcomm, in a major move to highlight its innovation, has announced to host its first-ever Snapdragon XR Day in India. The company has set the date for its XR Day on July 21 in New Delhi. The event is expected to spotlight how the company’s advanced platforms are driving the next generation of augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR). All these are collectively called as Extended Reality (ER)

Pushing the Boundaries of Extended Reality

The event from Qualcomm will focus and showcase on how Snapdragon chips are powering the cutting-edge XR hardware. These include from smart glasses to spatial computing devices. The main aim of the tech giant is to demonstrate how their technological advancements are defining user experience across industries, including education, entertainment, healthcare, and fitness.

With interactive displays and real-world use cases, visitors will get a firsthand look at how XR is moving beyond concept and into daily life.

Snapdragon XR Day:

Snapdragon XR Day won’t just be a tech showcase. Qualcomm is also using the opportunity to bring together key players in India’s digital space, including developers, OEMs, and industry partners in order to foster new collaborations in the XR domain.

The company sees India as a crucial hub for developing and scaling immersive technology and wants to deepen its roots in the market through innovation and engagement.

Qualcomm’s Broader Vision for India

The XR Day event is part of Qualcomm’s broader “Snapdragon for India” initiative. A week later, Snapdragon Auto Day in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) will also be held with a range of automotive solutions in the form of connected cars and driver assistance systems tuned to Indian roads and environments.

As XR and automotive technology are becoming popular in India, Qualcomm hosting two events at the same time has had a clear indication of wanting to be at the center of the two dynamic industries. With Snapdragon XR Day just around the corner, this might be the dawning of a new era of immersive technology in India as the XR industry moves towards the mainstream.
