Meta is pushing the boundaries of wearable tech again and has launched new smart glasses. The company has announced the Oakley Meta smart glasses, a new category of AI-powered eyewear built in collaboration with iconic sport-lifestyle brand Oakley. The launch blends Oakley’s bold design language with Meta’s expanding suite of AI-powered tools. After the success of the Ray-Ban Meta lineup, this marks Meta’s next big move into smart eyewear.
The newly launched model is called the Oakley Meta HSTN. It’s very similar to Oakley’s signature HSTN frame but comes packed with Meta’s latest wearable innovations. It’s perfect for sporty sessions and athletes who want to capture their workouts. Whether you’re biking, running, or just on the go, this smart eyewear delivers real-time AI assistance, hands-free capture, and smart audio.
It features a 3K Ultra-Wide 12MP camera that takes high-quality, hands-free photos and videos, along with a built-in recording LED for privacy. It also has Open-Ear Bluetooth Audio, which delivers clear sound while keeping you aware of your surroundings.
The main highlight is Meta AI integration. Just say “Hey Meta” to get updates, take calls, send messages, control music, and more. It also includes touch and voice controls to manage playback, calls, and camera functions through intuitive taps or commands.
On top of that, the Oakley Meta HSTN is IPX4 water-resistant, making it sweatproof, so you don’t need to worry about damage during intense workouts. The glasses offer 8 hours of typical use, 5 hours of continuous audio, and the included charging case provides up to 48 hours of backup power.
The glasses come in six different colour variants: Warm Grey with Prizm Ruby, Black with Prizm Polar Black, Black with Clear Lenses, Black with Transitions Amethyst, Brown Smoke with Prizm Polar Deep Water, and Clear with Transitions Grey.
There’s also a Limited Edition model that celebrates Oakley’s 50th anniversary, featuring gold accents and Desert 24K lenses, a perfect blend of luxury and athletic edge.
The Oakley Meta HSTN starts at USD 399 (approx. Rs. 34,560) and is launching later this summer. The Limited Edition version is priced at USD 499 (approx. Rs. 43,220), with pre-orders beginning July 11.
These glasses are available in various countries and will soon be making their way to India, Mexico, and the UAE.
