Samsung is one of the few companies that has consistently performed well in the wearables market. Although OnePlus has given the users more options with its Watch 2 and 2R, Samsung still stands at the top when it comes to Android smartwatches. This year, Samsung looks to maintain that position with its upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 series. news Also Read: Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Review: A New Standard for Android Smartwatches

Along with this, the connectivity specs have also been listed. The Watch 8 will offer full support for LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3 LE, and Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n). In terms of charging, it appears to support Samsung’s existing EP-OL300 wireless charger, which is likely to be bundled in the box. That means existing users can still use their old chargers lying around. For those opting for the LTE variant of the watch, the listing also reveals a wide range of LTE bands (FDD 2/4/5/7/12/13/14/25/26/66/71), ensuring broad carrier compatibility.

Another rumor surrounding the Watch 8 is the return of the Classic. The Classic may bring back the fan-favorite rotating bezel, making navigation smoother and more intuitive once again on Samsung watches.

The Watch 8 series will most likely launch alongside Samsung’s upcoming smartphones at the next Unpacked event. More details about the watches are expected to be revealed soon.
