The Xbox Games Showcase is an official event hosted by Microsoft where they reveal and promote upcoming games, hardware, and software updates related to the Xbox ecosystem. At this recent event, Microsoft in collaboration with ASUS introduced two new handheld gaming PC’s dubbed the ROG Xbox Ally and the higher-end ROG Xbox Ally X. Both the devices are aimed at combining the power and versatility of Windows 11 along with an Xbox focused gaming experience.
Here’s What We Know About the ROG Xbox Ally and the higher-end ROG Xbox Ally X:
The ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X both will be available in selected countries including Australia, France, Japan, Singapore, the UK, the US. Additionally, both the devices will be available in 21 other countries too. However, there’s no official information as to when both ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X will be available for the Indian market.
The tech giant will reveal the price and pre0order details in the coming months.

The standard ROG Xbox Ally comes equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB solid-state drive. It features a 7-inch 1080p display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, designed to deliver sharp and fluid visuals. Meanwhile, the ROG Xbox Ally X steps up the game with an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip, 24GB RAM, and a larger 1TB SSD, along with an 80Wh battery for extended playtime.
Microsoft has tailored Windows 11 Home for these handhelds to focus on gaming performance. The system removes unnecessary distractions to improve battery life and responsiveness. Additionally, a new feature highlights games that run best on these devices, similar to what users see on Steam Deck.
The ROG Xbox Ally comes with the AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16GB of fast LPDDR5x memory, and 512GB of SSD storage. However, on the other hand, the ROG Xbox Ally X is aimed at more serious gamers and hence is equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip, along with 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and twice the storage capacity of the standard model
