Xiaomi is all set to unveil its next smartphone, dubbed Xiaomi 17, but it is also working on its highly anticipated Xiaomi Pad 8, too. A stream of leaks and rumors has given a clear glimpse of the upcoming Xiaomi Pad lineup. The Xiaomi Pad 8 sits below the Pad 8 Pro, offering an affordable option for buyers.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Leaks and Rumors

A recent Geekbench listing reveals essential information about the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 8. The device was tagged with a model number 25097RP43C, confirming that the Pad 8 will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM. The benchmark showcases a single-core score of 1,984 and a multi-core score of 6,323.

Display and Battery

The Xiaomi Pad 8 is expected to feature an 11.2-inch LCD with a 3.2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. To power the tablet, the company is expected to pack it with a 9,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

The device remains thin at just 5.75mm and weighs 485g, making it highly portable and comparable in size to the Pro model.

Camera, Audio, and Connectivity

Leaked specifications also suggest a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The Pad 8 will feature quad speakers and quad microphones for an immersive audio experience.

A USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port is included for faster data transfers, while the software is expected to run on HyperOS 3, providing seamless integration with Xiaomi’s ecosystem.

Design and Anticipated Launch

Hands-on images reveal a sleek, flat-edged design with slim bezels, consistent with Xiaomi’s recent devices. With the official launch scheduled later this month, the Pad 8 looks set to offer an affordable yet powerful option for users who want a premium tablet experience without the higher price of the Pro model.
