As we mentioned, MAMI Select: Filmed on iPhone 2025 is an initiative by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) that showcases the work of four emerging Indian filmmakers including Amrita Bagchi, Rohin Raveendran Nair, Chanakya Vyas, and Shalini Vijayakumar. This program supports these filmmakers through all stages of production, providing them with the latest technology, including the iPhone 16 Pro Max for shooting and MacBook Pro for editing.

The films that are selected under this initiative represents Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, and Tamil cinema and are mentored by renowned filmmaker. This initiative is taken in order to push the boundaries of creative storytelling. The final projects are scheduled for a premiere screening in April 2025 and will subsequently be available on MAMI’s YouTube platform.
