Reportedly, Apple is now working on a Type-C charging interface for the iPhone 15 lineup and it may require users to use MFI-certified Type-C cables. This means the usual Type-C cables to charge Android phones may not work.
After asking for years, Apple may finally offer a Type-C port for charging, but at what cost?
A Type-C port is not the only thing that Apple is bringing with the new iPhones. This year’s iPhone 15 series is expected to come with a new chipset, likely the Apple A17 Bionic. The top-of-the-line model is said to feature a periscope lens.
Furthermore, the iPhone 15 Pro models will come with solid-state buttons and titanium built. Dynamic island will retain in the new Pro models.
Apart from this, the iPhone 15 is expected to feature a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 15 Plus will have a 6.7-inch panel. The higher-end models, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively.
In related news, Mark Gurman has revealed that Apple may finally bring an ‘Ultra’ premium iPhone next year. The iPhone Ultra or iPhone 16 Ultra, whatever Apple plans to call it, is said to have better cameras, an even larger display, and maybe a portless design.
