High severity alert issued by GOI; Know if your Apple devices are safe or not

The Government of India has issued a high-risk warning for Apple users in the country. As per the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), a lot of Apple devices including MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones along with the Safari browser are at an exploitation risk. As claimed in the advisory by Cert-In, multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Apple products running on different versions of iPadOS, iOS, visionOS, Safari, tvOS, watchOS, and more. The vulnerabilities target both organizations and individuals and the cyber attackers can use the devices to gather highly-confidential information from the devices. The advisory concludes by saying that the vulnerability exposes users to potential unauthorized access to information that is crucial to the users. Affected software versions

• Apple iOS and iPadOS version older than iOS 18.1.
• Apple MacOS Sequoia version older than 15.1.
• Apple MacOS Sonoma version older than 14.7.1.
• Apple MacOS Ventura version older than 13.7.1.
• Apple WatchOS version older than 11.1.
• Apple tvOS version older than 18.1.
• Apple visionOS version older than 2.1.
• Apple Safari versions prior to 18.1.

All Apple users who have devices running on any of the mentioned operating systems or browsers are suggested to update their devices or browsers as soon as they can.
