The online shopping is becoming more convenient and thanks to Google. The tech giant is rolling out new features in Gmail just ahead of the festive season. Google introduced a dedicated ‘Purchase’ tab that will help buyers to organize and track their online orders from platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, and other e-commerce sites.
With the busy holiday season approaching, Google rolled out a new tab that will allow buyers to organize their shopping list. The new Purchase tab will have all the information related to your order, including order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery details. All these information will be accessible and organized inside Purchase tab.
Additionally, users can also review past orders, making order management simpler than ever.
The Purchase tab is available on both Gmail’s mobile app and web version. The tab centralizes all emails related to online shopping. It means now users no longer need to sit through their inbox to find order confirmations or shipping updates.
The recent Purchase feature on Gmail is part of the previous launched package-tracking feature introduced in 2022. It allowed users to see delivery updates directly in their inbox.
Other than this, tracking packages arriving within 24 hours at the top will be collected in a single view. This gives more comprehensive overview of your purchases.
Alongside the new tab, Google has added a summary card in Gmail that provides a cleaner, more organized look for purchase-related emails. This card consolidates all essential details, from order confirmation to delivery updates, allowing users to manage their online shopping efficiently.
The update is rolling out globally for all personal Google accounts on both web and mobile platforms, making it widely accessible.
