Google is all set to unveil its highly anticipated smartphone lineup, dubbed Pixel 10 series on August 20, 2025. The lineup includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, alongside Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a. However, ahead of the official launch, the tech giant came up with an innovative idea and added a cheeky twist to its pre-release campaign. The brand in its new promotional video teased its competitor, Apple, for its delay in the rollout of Siri’s promised AI features.
Google released a 30-second teaser video, wherein, the company is taking a jibe at Apple for delaying Siri’s AI-powered features. The teaser video was released on the company’s official YouTube channel. The company teased its upcoming Pixel 10 in a fresh Moonstone color. Nevertheless, the real talk of the town was not just Pixel 10’s design, but its voiceover in the teaser that slightly mocks Apple for its delayed rollout of Siri’s AI features.
Nonetheless, the tech giant didn’t take Apple’s name directly, but the brand referred to it as ‘a feature that’s been coming soon for a full year.’ The company then goes on to suggest that consumers change their phone rather than wait any longer.
The teaser from Google closes with a tagline tagline “Ask more of your phone.” This indicates that the upcoming Google Pixel 10 series will be powered by AI capabilities and will be ready to offer advanced features today, and hence, not years down the line.
Talking about Apple’s Siri AI-powered features, the company first announced its major AI upgrade during WWDC 2024, however, the updates are facing repeated delays. The company promised to deliver several AI features including personal context awareness, onscreen recognition, and cross-app actions.
Initially, Apple promised to deliver all these features with iOS 18.4 for the iPhone 16 series. Nevertheless, the company recently indicated that these features might not arrive until 2026. This left users with no clear timeline, and hence, an indirect mock from rival company Google.
This uncertainty has given Google the perfect opportunity to position its Pixel 10 as the phone that delivers AI advancements without making customers wait.
