What to expect from Google I/O 2024: Key Points

Google has already released a few products, originally anticipated to debut at the Google I/O. They include the Pixel 8a, the next-generation Pixel A phone and the successor to the Pixel 7a. The company also announced a Pixel Tablet variant without a dock recently. That leaves this year’s flagship phones from Google: Pixel 9 series and the next-generation Pixel Fold. Multiple rumours have already talked about what these smartphones would look like, but it would be too far-fetched to assume Google will roll out Pixel 9 devices at the I/O. However, Google might preview them. The Pixel Fold 2, or the Pixel Fold 9 Pro, may also be a part of the teasers, but its launch is also unlikely.

That shifts the focus to Google’s software announcements. Android 15 is already available to developers and public testers, but Google will discuss its features in detail at the I/O.
