Google I/O 2024 Live streaming Online: Google is set to kick off this year’s annual developers conference later today, i.e., May 14 at its long-time headquarters in Mountain View, California in the US. The Google I/O 2024 will see major announcements, including more updates on Android 15 and Gemini, the company’s generative AI-based chatbot. Google may also talk about the Pixel 8a, which debuted earlier this week in India and other markets, at the event.

Several new updates could also be coming to individual Google apps, such as Maps and YouTube, in the store for today’s event. While the anticipated hardware launches have taken place already, rumours suggest Google might surprise us with the second-generation Pixel Fold. Its name is teetering between the Pixel Fold 2 and Pixel Fold 9 Pro, according to reports. Here is a quick guide on how you can watch the event’s live stream and everything you can expect from Google during the Google I/O.

How to watch Google I/O 2024 Live Streaming Online?

What to expect from Google I/O 2024: Key Points

Google has already released a few products, originally anticipated to debut at the Google I/O. They include the Pixel 8a, the next-generation Pixel A phone and the successor to the Pixel 7a. The company also announced a Pixel Tablet variant without a dock recently. That leaves this year’s flagship phones from Google: Pixel 9 series and the next-generation Pixel Fold. Multiple rumours have already talked about what these smartphones would look like, but it would be too far-fetched to assume Google will roll out Pixel 9 devices at the I/O. However, Google might preview them. The Pixel Fold 2, or the Pixel Fold 9 Pro, may also be a part of the teasers, but its launch is also unlikely.

TRENDING NOW

That shifts the focus to Google’s software announcements. Android 15 is already available to developers and public testers, but Google will discuss its features in detail at the I/O. An immediate release is unlikely. A spotlight may also be on Google’s LLMs, including Gemini, which was recently rebranded from Bard, and apps such as Google Maps and Google Search.
